My parents brought there plots back in the 70's; my mom passed February 2015 and they couldnt locate the paperwork for the marker so we had to pay for it again despite having proof of payment. When we went to purchase the marker they failed to inform us it wouldn't be placed down until paid in full. We paid for the marker on April 13 in full and called to find her location they stated they would place 4 flags down so we could locate her and the marker would be there in 2-4weeks of payment. There were several locations with four flags so it didn't help in locating my mom. It's been well over a month and they have still failed to placethe marker there and the markers on other grave sites are put any kind of way.

We buried my great-grandma at Maryland National Memorial Cemetery yesterday. The majority of the funeral was at another location, and a closing prayer was held at the cemetery. Not even five minutes after the closing prayer, as we are walking around saying goodbye to each other and her, and sorting out the flowers, a couple of backhoes come roaring over the hill directly at us. One came straight at me, forcing me to jump out of the way in order to not get hit (which is difficult in heels in soft grass...). While we stood there in shock, they quickly began lowering her into the ground, which was something we definitely didn't need to see.
After taking our money, they chased us off of the grounds with heavy machinery, just another day on the job, with absolutely no respect or sensitivity towards us. Their parent company motto is "Celebrating Lives With Dignity". That was the most shocking, undignified scene I've ever been a witness to.Added January 20, 2017 by Mallory Murray - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
The cemetry is poorly maintained. There are more weeds than grass. No effort is ever made to sow grass. With rain graves settle and no one cares to put extra dirt. Families have to remind the management or bring their own dirt and fill up. There is no water available to water the grave even if families sow the grass themselves.

Paid a few thousand dollars to be buried next to my mom B. Simmons paper work all filled out in my dining room by CECELIA. She assured me the paper work that was done i would be buried next to my mother. I have yet to recieve a contract saying paid in full ive called multiple times nothing yet. I found out today 11/01/16 the paper work states i will be buried two rows over from my mom oh im pissed im alive and im going to handle this. by CECELIA showing me plot numbers on paper that day she knew already and i did not. hope no one is buried next to my mom when i go there because MARYLAND NATIONAL MEMORIAL will have to give that person a new resting place. I waited all day for a phone call back from them after talking to them this morning, the phone call never came maybe tomorrow I told them months ago about my mothers face and monument is covered with RED MUD i should not half to keep cleaning it off when i visit. They do not keep the grounds up like they use to maybe good help is hard to find. ANNA MUSE
